Successful v.s. Unsuccessful Website

There are 1.13 billion websites that exist on the internet right now, yet only 200 million of those are active. Of those 200 million websites, the competition is fierce to get substantial viewers, engagement levels, and sales. Therefore, it is incredibly important to realize the key components that make a difference between a good website and a bad website.

The first key component is creating a website that is easy to navigate. This is one of the most important aspects of your website because users will treat it as a guide to allow them to understand how to not only use, but love your website. When they find what they’re looking for quickly and efficiently, they are more likely to return to the site and continue using it. According to Indeed.com, a good website navigation will allow search engines to index a website more effectively, which will make it easier for users to locate the site on the internet. Good website:   Bad website:

The second key component is making a website that looks visually appealing – strong website design. This means possibly hiring a graphic designer to ensure your website looks the most appealing that it can to viewers. This is important because it will often be the first thing users notice when they click on a site.

The third key component is to ensure efficient interactivity. It’s imperative that your website allows your readers to interact with it. This includes linking each button/group of text to another page and a search bar. You want to ensure that each link loads quickly so that users do not lose interest.

The fourth component is having a strong and active customer service line. In more recent times, the most efficient and helpful customer service lines have been through online live chatting. This is a simple way for users to get their questions answered and to feel satisfied with your site.

The fifth component is mobile compatibility. This is vital because according to Research.com 53% of web traffic comes from mobile users (Bouchrika). This means that over half of people that are browsing the web are browsing it on their mobile devices. Therefore, it's vital that the website is just as easy and efficient to use on mobile as it is on the web.
