I’m Vanessa Blasi. I’m a recent graduate from Quinnipiac University with a dual degree in Journalism and Graphic and Interactive Design. This year, I’m continuing my education at Quinnipiac by working on my master’s degree in Interactive Media and Communications.

I currently work at WTNH News 8 in New Haven, CT as a digital producer where I write stories for our website. I was previously on the assignment desk team which handles breaking news, dispatches reporters to their stories, accumulates story pitches, maintains telephone tips and coordinates well-rounded news coverage with newsroom management.

At home in Long Island, I work at News 12 Long Island on the assignment desk team as well. I enjoy working in news because it allows me to tell stories, which is something I discovered a love for during my undergrad.

In five years, I hope to have a career that allows me to make a difference in the lives of people around me. Whether I can tell stories through journalism or the art of graphic design, both are equally as enjoyable and important to me.

I’m a creative thinker and designer, avid storyteller, and lover of the arts. Typography is my favorite aspect of graphic design. I’m unsure where my path will lead me, but I’m excited to get there.
